“Gladiators, are you ready?”
We’re off down memory lane again this week and this time, we’re taking a look back at one of our favourite TV programmes of the 1990s –
Gladiators.
From Wolf to referee John Anderson, everyone had a favourite on the show, and here’s what some of them are up to now.

Lightning (Kim Betts)
One of the Gladiators a lot of us secretly wanted to be (or was that just us?!), Lightning was the longest lasting female Gladiator on the programme.

She later went on to become a presenter.
Rhino (Mark Smith)
Okay, we had a lot of favourites on the show and Rhino was definitely one of them. From his great dancing to brilliant personality, we loved him.

He went on to become an actor, featuring in
Argo and
Batman Begins.
Jet (Diane Youdale)
One of the most popular Gladiators, after Wolf of course, Diane went on to present and model. She also worked as a personal trainer.
Hunter (James Crossley)
Sigh. We had a bit of a crush on Hunter, who was also famous for his relationship with Ulrika Jonsson.

He later trained as an actor and went on to become a personal trainer.
Amazon (Sharron Davies)
Sharron hit our screens in series four and was a firm favourite with viewers.

An Olmypic and Commonwealth swimming champion, after the show finished she featured on TV and competed in
Dancing on Ice.
Saracen (Mike Lewis)
We loved him!
One of the nicest Gladiators going, Saracen lasted the full eight seasons of the show.

When the show ended he went on to work as a London Firefighter.
What a man.
Rio (Jane Omorogbe)
Rio was formerly a Miss UK finalist before appearing on
Gladiators.

After the show, she became well recognized as a motoring journalist and TV presenter.
Cobra (Michael Willson)
One of the messers on the show, Michael was a hugely popular part of the team.

Since then, he has gone on to promote keeping fit in schools nationwide.
Ace (Warren Furman)
Warren joined the show in season five and later returned for the special
Legends show.

A former flame of Katie Price back in the day, Warren is now said to be living in Manhattan.
Wolf (Michael Van Wijk)
We all loved to hate Wolf and despite terrorizing
Gladiators for years, he is our number one favourite.

He returned as a coach on the 2009 show and currently lives in New Zealand.

Who was your favourite?
