An 11-month-old baby was found dead at an apartment in Killarney yesterday, and his death is being treated as suspicious by investigating Gardaí.
According to
RTÉ News a man in his 30s who was caring for the baby is being treated for injuries at University Hospital Kerry.
The baby was found by his mother who had returned home after working that day, and paramedics attended the scene shortly after 6pm on Sunday but he was pronounced dead by a local physician.
The man is currently in a serious condition, and the scene remains sealed off for Gardaí to continue their investigation.
