A major manhunt has been launched after French police identified three suspects connected to today's tragic massacre at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris.
Twelve people, including eight journalists and two policemen, were killed in the incident and it is understood that police are now looking for two brothers from the Paris region and another man from Reims in connection with the attack.
Vigils were held in Paris and Dublin tonight in defence of freedom of speech and in solidarity with the victims of the atrocity, with over 100,000 people believed to have turned out in the French capital.
UPDATE (8.15am, January 8th): Police have revealed the images of two brothers, identified as Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, who are suspected of the gun attack in Paris yesterday.
According to
Sky News a third man, believed to be the brother-in-law of those still on the loose, handed himself in. He is named as Hamyd Hourad (18).
Last night the authorities raided an apartment in the city of Reims. Seven people were detained overnight.
