According to The Telegraph, Mr. Basu gave this warning while speaking at an anti-terrorism briefing in Wembley Stadium.
It's thought that numerous executives from music companies and people holding high-profile positions within football clubs attended.
The assistant commissioner, who is head of protective security, said that while there haven't been any specific threats made, festivals and stadiums are regarded as "vulnerable".
Nightclubs are also said to be at risk after the attack in the Bataclan in Paris last November, which killed 89 people.
