These New Snapchat Features Are About To Fuel That Addiction

It’s safe to say, we’re pretty addicted to Snapchat. From quick updates, personalised selfie replies and snooping on enough stories to give us a serious case of FOMO, the snap-happy app has become a firm favourite on our phones. Now Snapchat has announced a series of new features that are sure to keep users clicking away to our battery’s demise. The two additions sure to keep fans of the app happy are the new series of selfie filters and a replay function for all those snaps lost in under six secods. The new feature ‘Lenses’, users will be able to apply seven facial filters after taking a selfie – including the options to distort your face, make yourself look older, or even adding sounds and animations… Miss out on an update or want to watch a snap again? While you can replay one disappeared snap a day now, you’ll soon be able to replay as many as you want to (for a small fee). The announcement is being rolled out in the US from today, with users being able to purchase three replayed snaps for $0.99. Last but not least, the team at Snapchat also plan on rewarding your procrastination with a new ‘Trophies’ feature, meaning users can check if they’ve been awarded for using the app via a small trophy icon which turns yellow when a new one has been awarded.
