Viva Forever! the jukebox musical based on the songs of the Spice Girls is set to close next month after it got absolutely slated by critics and fans alike. To be honest, we’re not exactly surprised by this news.
HolyMoly.com reports that despite the fact that the show was advertised as booking until February 2014, it has been shut down and producers have promised a rewrite after bigwig theatre critics said it was, well, absolutely sh**e.
Apparently no one could understand the concept of the musical. The few punters who went to see it were expecting a tale about Sporty, Scary, Baby, Ginger and Posh Spice. However what they got was a story about some random girl auditioning to be on a talent show, who just so happened to be singing Spice Girls songs along the way.

Anyway, Geri Halliwell has addressed the closure of the musical by taking to Twitter and tweeting: “Unexpected… ‘good’ & ‘bad,’ feeling dunno – sometimes things just happen.”
We have one question to the people who think the musical is bad… eh… did you never see the Spice Girls movie? Now THAT was bad…
