Save, Steal Or Splurge – See Which You Can Buy For €113, €138 And €295

A trench coat is a wardrobe essential.

Cathy Donohue

This series is all about bringing you the best for your budget: so whether you have €30 or €300 to spend, we have something to suit.

This week, our style edit is all about trench coats because let’s face it, the rain is never far away in our lovely country.

It’s interesting to see if you can tell the cheap option from the more expensive and you might be surprised to see what each one works out at.

€113, at River Island

A camel trench coat is one purchase you won’t regret. As mentioned above, the trench is ideal for our Irish climate. It will keep you dry and it’s not too heavy as there’s nothing worse than sweating profusely thanks to the humidity that often comes with the rain. We LOVE the River Island number pictured below.

€138, at Oasis

Although we’re very partial to a camel or beige trench, navy is a great alternative. It won’t get dirty quite as quickly and it’s a lovely shade for the winter season. We love the collar and the belted style is just gorgeous. At €138, it’s an investment buy but one that will last you season after season.

€295, at Michael Kors at Brown Thomas

A far as we’re concerned, the love for Michael Kors handbags and purses translates to coats. This style is timeless and although it’s a little pricey, it’s a classic piece that will go the style distance.
