Ever wondered what it would be like to see Meghan and Harry quacking at each other? Wonder no more…
Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor, son of Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, today celebrates his first birthday. We feel about 80 years old but we’re still gonna say it: where did that year go?!
To celebrate their little one’s big day, his royal parents have released a special video. It features Meghan reading to her baby son and it’s raising funds for Save The Children. As part of the children’s charity’s #SaveWithStories campaign, the likes of Rita Ora, Liam Payne and Eddie Redmayne have been posting videos of them reading their favourite kids books and encouraging the public to donate.
So, yeah, what today’s instalment really boils down to is more besotted parents who just want to bore you with a video of their baby doing nothing more than being a baby. But these are celebrity parents which makes it way more interesting – plus he’s a little cutie so we’re sold.
In the video we see Meghan with adorable baby Archie, wearing only a white babygro, tucked on her lap, while Prince Harry is behind the camera. Meghan is reading Duck! Rabbit!, an illustrated children’s book about an optical illusion.
At least, she’s trying to read it – like every baby ever, Archie wants to turn the pages himself, as and when he chooses. And, despite Meghan and Harry making animal noises to try keep him interested, his royal cuteness has turned his attentions to another book before this one gets to the end.
It doesn’t matter that his parents are literals royalty and two of the most famous people on the planet, watching this video there’s no doubting who is in charge here. Birthday Archie is a total mood and we’re enchanted.
