Sinead O’Connor has announced that she is going to tour around Ireland this year with gigs announced in Dublin, Galway, Wexford and Cork.

The Nothing Compares To You singer will first take to the stage in Roisin Dubh in Galway on October 17, before heading to Spiegeltent in Wexford on October 24 and Cork Opera House on Oct 26.

She will then carry onto Vicar Street on October 27.

Last year, Sinead revealed a new song called Milestones, which was the first track she released in a couple of years.

Speaking to The Sun about the new music, the singer said: “David [Holmes – Nothern Dance] wrote the music. I wrote the lyrics and melody. This is just a first demo for fans because they never get to hear a demo. I thought it would be fun to share it.”

Tickets for all of Sinead O’Connor’s gigs go on sale next Friday, August 16, at 9am.
