You can now get paid to eat chicken dippers

Sarah McKenna Barry

Nice work, if you can get it.

Whoever said the perfect job doesn’t exist probably didn’t realise that you can get paid to eat chicken nuggets.

While it might sound too good to be true, the frozen food company Bird’s Eye is actually on the lookout for one jammy individual to taste-test their chicken dippers.

Not only will the successful candidate receive £1,000 for four hours’ worth of work, they’ll also get a year’s supply of chicken dippers.

The official job notice for the Chief Dipping Officer asks potential candidates: “Do you know the difference between dippers and nuggets? Are you the sauce connoisseur of the family? Do you have an insatiable passion for Chicken Dippers?”

Bird’s Eye outlines how they’re looking for an “individual with an outstanding passion for Chicken Dippers and skills to identify the perfect dip that will suit the whole family.”

As well as tasting duties, the selected candidate should feel comfortable doing some camera-facing work, as they will have to “conduct a takeover of Bird’s Eye’s social media channels” to showcase their “expertise”.

With regards to requirements, the company states that they’re after someone who has a “solid background in Dipper to sauce ratios” and “superior dipper taste buds”.

On top of that, they should also have a “sense of adventure when it comes to dipping”, as the role will require them to “experiment with new combinations”.

If this sounds like you, then you should send an email outlining why you’d be perfect for the role in less than 250 words to [email protected], or for more information, head to their website right here.

This listing isn’t the only unconventional job notice doing the rounds right now. One company in the UK is on the lookout for a wine and cheese taster, and you can read more on that here.
