It's always nice to have that something sweet after dinner. However, we're not ones to spend our evenings baking.
Enter the mug cake - the simple and seriously tasty alternative for lazy girls everywhere.
Taking less than ten minutes to make, you should have all the ingredients you need already in the press at home.
Basic mug cake ingredients
4 tablespoons self-raising flour
4 tablespoons caster sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk

3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Zest of half a lemon
How to
1. In a large microwave-proof mug, combine the flour and the sugar.
2. Whisk in the egg, milk, oil and lemon juice to form a smooth batter.
3. Stir in the lemon zest and microwave on high for 4-5 minutes or until the cake has risen and is firm to the touch.
4. Top with a little raspberry coulis or fresh berries to serve.
