Apparently we shouldn’t start working full time jobs until we’re 40, according to an expert

full time

Sound.

Have you got a full time job?

If so, good for you – you are succeeding in spending all of your time in an office or a shop or somewhere else with a load of people who you probably don’t like very much for not enough money while your life passes you by.

We’re all at it but that doesn’t make ticking off those 45 hours a week any easier.

Just think of all the things we’re missing out on because we’re stuck inside working… like going out and raising families and keeping up our hobbies and going out and stuff. Loads.

It’s for that reason that a longevity expert has gone and said that we should only start working full time when we’re in our 40s.

And she means it.

Laura Carstensen, a Stanford psychologist, said that waiting until you’re middle-aged to start working full time is a good idea because you’ll be able to physically work for that time anyway.

She told Quartz:

“You never get a break. You never get to step out. You never get to refresh. We go at this unsustainable pace, and then pull the plug.”

Which is, yeah true, and all well and good until you consider that a lot of people simply can’t afford not to work full time for most of their life.

Bitch gotta eat, after all.
