“If you’re struggling, please be brave and tell a trusted someone.”

Lady Gaga has vowed to fund 162 classroom projects across El Paso, Dayton, and Gilroy following mass shootings in each of the cities.

The singer announced last week that she, along with her Born This Way foundation and DonorsChoose.org, were going to fully fund the projects in each of the cities.

“My heart goes out to those who were taken from us too soon and to their families, loved ones, and communities who are left to grieve,” she said.

“Everyone has the right to laws that make them feel safe in their communities. In this moment, I want to channel my confusion, frustration, and fury into hope. Hope that we are there for each other and for ourselves.”

Gaga’s donations will allow children in each of these cities access to the classroom supplies and support needed to thrive in school and, as she puts it, “bring their dreams to life.”

She went on to encourage young people to look out for their own mental health – and to look out for one another.

“Surviving and recovering from these tragedies also means prioritizing your mental health and checking in on your loved ones,” she said.

“If you’re struggling, please be brave and tell a trusted someone. Don’t be scared to ask for help, I beg you.”

36 people were killed across the shootings in Dayton, Gilroy, and El Paso.

One of the shootings occurred at a food festival, with another happening at a Walmart. The third happened outside a bar.
