Remember how it once felt to Feel The Bern?
Well, you’re about to feel it all over again because Bernie Sanders has announced his intention to run for US president in 2020.
Here for it, to be honest.
The Independent senator announced that he was entering the race today in an email to his one million supporters.
“I’m running for president because a great nation is judged not by how many billionaires and nuclear weapons it has, but by how it treats the most vulnerable – the elderly, the children, our veterans, the sick and the poor,” he said.
I'm running for president. I am asking you to join me today as part of an unprecedented and historic grassroots campaign that will begin with at least 1 million people from across the country. Say you're in: https://t.co/KOTx0WZqRf pic.twitter.com/T1TLH0rm26

Sanders asked his supporters to back him for the second time and sign onto his campaign, proving again the sheer power of the grassroots movement.
“We’re gonna win,” he told CBS today. “We are gonna also launch what I think is unprecedented in modern American history and that is a grassroots movement to lay the groundwork for transforming the economic and political life of this country.
“That’s what’s different.”

Sanders made significant headway during the 2016 presidential election, before he was eventually beaten for the Democratic nomination by Hillary Clinton.
At the time, his policies seemed far more progressive than any of the other candidates he was up against. Now however, many analysts are expecting that Sanders will have a far better chance at going much further in the race.
“Together, you and I and our 2016 campaign began the political revolution,” he said. “Now, it is time to complete that revolution and implement the vision that we fought for.”
