Apparently, having pubic hair can actually get you more sex

Ideal.

Shave, don’t shave, or just a lil trim every now and then – whatever approach you take to your genital area, you do you and don’t let anyone else tell you what’s best for your vagina.

If you’re going to go with the crowd though, chances are that you shave your pubic hair.

According to a study published in JAMA Dermatology in 2016, 84 percent of women in the US have shaved their pubes at least once.

However, despite its popularity, it turns out that shaving all your hair off could actually be detrimental to your ability to get the ride.

That’s according to some gynaecologists anyway.

They told Mail Online that having pubic hair actually has a lot of benefits – one of those being increasing your ability to attract mates.

Dr Alyssa Dweck said that pubic hair traps a lot of pheromones, a hormone that can affect the behaviour of other people.

The pheromones get stuck in there and apparently act as a “bullseye” for where the sex is meant to be occurring.

Back in the day, pubic hair also acted as a visual cue for where the intercourse was supposed to be happening so, you know, it’s probably not that unlikely that the suggestion is still there (just in case you weren’t sure).

Pubic hair is also handy for lots of other things too like keeping your genitals warm (which can help some men maintain their erection), fighting off STIs (grooming can sometimes cause skin tears), and for providing a cushion during exercise.

Lovely.

However if you, like the majority of people, prefer to shave your pubic hair there are a few things you can do to make sure that you’re doing it properly and not absolutely wrecking the skin down there.

First, you should exfoliate the area and throw on some baby oil to soften the hair and the skin.

Then, make sure that your razor has absolutely no signs of rusting or else you risk cutting yourself.

Some people also say that using a men’s razor is better because of the number of blades, but as long as you’re shaving in the right direction, you should be OK.
