A celebrity piercer has predicted the biggest piercing trend for 2018

Famed Los Angeles piercer, Brian Keith Thompson who has worked with the likes of Jennifer Lawerence, Emma Stone and Queen Bey – to name a few, has predicted the biggest piecing trend for 2018 and we are all for it.

He believes that the era of the navel and septum piercing is dead and now it’s all moving back to the ear.

Speaking to Refinery29, he said:”It’s going to be the year of the ear. I predict that the snug, the upper lobe, and multiple constellations are going to be big.”

Also noting that the nipple is still quite a popular request, Brian believes however, that all eyes are on the ears.

Here’s a breakdown of some of the popular predicted piercings for the ear.

The Rook

Constellation-like clusters of diamonds and small hoops started to become big at the end of 2017 and will continue to get big throughout 2018.

The Snug

Above her bottom three lobe piercings, and under the hoop is the new trend set to take us by storm, it is the SNUG.

Stacked Helix

And a final predicted trend for the ear is stacked piercings particulary in the higher region of your ear labelled the helix.
