This Make-Up Trick Proves We’re Missing Out On An Important Step

Who knew?!

Last week clown contouring was the hottest topic in the beauty industry and now it’s all about “baking” your make-up.

It’s a trick used in the drag community for years and aims to give you long-lasting make-up.

If you’re prone to shine and seeing your make-up completely disappear halfway through the day, then you might be missing out on this key step.

Baking, or ‘cooking’ your make-up, basically means that you allow translucent powder to sit on your face for ten minutes.

The heat from your skin gives your concealer and foundation the opportunity to melt into your skin.

While this sounds a little mad, the result (according to beauty pros) is a flawless face, minus open pores.

‘Baking’ is a trend favoured by Kim K’s make-up guru Mario Dedivanovic so if you’re a fan of her style, this is one trick you’ll want to perfect.

Make-up artist Heidi Hamoud explains “baking” in the below tutorial and now, we’re off to practice.
