What’s In My Beauty Bag – Siobhan Wyatt of Dreaming in Sequins

Tips and tricks from those in the know.

Cathy Donohue

Pretty packaging, hero products, must-have purchases…make-up is a subject we could spend hours chatting about.

Everyone has their tried and tested buys and in a bid to find out more about the best way to get bang for your buck, we decided it was time to call in a little expertise.

Beauty bloggers make it their business to trial run products and are up to date with the latest releases before they even hit the shelves.

In a new weekly feature, we’re going to quiz beauty bloggers on their make-up essentials and why these are the products they return to time and time again.

This week we’re chatting to Siobhan Wyatt of Dreaming in Sequins

“The best thing is to look natural, but it takes make-up to look natural” – Calvin Klein.

I’ll start by saying it took me five days to choose a pouch for this beauty bag feature and I have to wonder if there’s other make-up fiends obsessed with pretty packaging.

This cute bag is a newbie and one of my favourites, you have to love the cheeky quote.

I can not go to work without a shower so my daily face has to be applied crossing the M50, (as a passenger obviously) and here are a few of the products that make onto my must-have list.

FLAWLESS FINISH:

I’m a tinted moisturiser girl on a day to day basis. I was a major fan of the Laura Mercier, but it’s all about the new Chanel CC cream. This is a new formulation and leaves skin dewy and flawless.

If I have an event or I’m going out after work I’ll pop on some Benefit Porefessional as a primer to make the CC cream last all day.

These mini Benetint and Highbeam are part of a set. I haven’t bought the large size… Ever! You use so little of these products, the mini size is all you need. Benetint gives the softest, most natural flush to the cheek.

CHEEKBONE CENTRAL:

The Charlotte Tilbury Beach stick in IBIZA is the ultimate bronzer on the go. So easy to swipe and blend on the hollows of the cheek. This will be a staple in my beauty bag for the foreseeable future.

This MAC mascara is awesome. It’s new and I’m loving it.

I fill in my brows with the Essence Make me Brow – it’s a great shade and the brush is teeny and the little YSL mirror was a gift with purchase.

LIP LOVER:

Lip products are my weakness, the below are my favourites but there’s at least five other glosses floating around in my handbag.

I am a huge fan of Chanel lipglosses. Ya get what ya pay for guys, they’re amazing.

The ByTerry Baum De Rose tinted balm is so moisturising. If you’re like me and kill your lips in the Winter. Then treat them so well, just to bring them back to life… You need the By Terry BDR!

The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in ‘Pillow Talk’ is fab and I love Clarins lipgloss.

CONCEALER GAME:

If I’m not stalking Lip products at make-up counters I’m looking at concealers. The below are the tried and tested products I always return to.

MAC Prep & Prime is so brightening and when I’ve a little more time it gives my bags the heave-ho.

The NARS creamy concealer is perfect and stays in place for a solid 6-8 hours.

The Maybeline concealer – while having the longest name in concealer history – is such a fab concealer for the price. So affordable and it gives great coverage.
