Amazing news for Louise McSharry and husband, Gordan.
Against all the odds, Louise McSharry has announced the wonderful news that she is pregnant. She shared the news on her website this morning.
Louise explained in the post that after she was cleared of cancer she was delivered one large blow from a fertility specialist. She said ‘the treatment which had saved my life had also decimated my egg count’.
She continued, “Where I should have been at 35 or 40 on the scale of being able to conceive, I was a two. I was a two.”
Even though she was heartbroken by the news, Louise began trying anyway in the hopes of being ‘the exception’. Then in only a few months, they got pregnant.
“We are absolutely delighted and a little bit terrified at the prospect of becoming proper adults, but I gather that’s a normal way to feel. We are also incredibly grateful that we have beaten the odds,” she said.
