She thanked her dedicated supporters in a heartfelt Instagram post.

Britney Spears has thanked her fans for their “constant resilience” throughout the #FreeBritney campaign.

For years, members of the fan-led #FreeBritney movement has fought for an end to the pop star’s conservatorship – the controversial legal arrangement that allowed her father to control almost every aspect of her life since 2008.

The movement was started by a small group of fans on social media in 2018 but has grown rapidly since, holding demonstrations outside court hearings and even featuring in several documentaries about the star’s life.

The 39-year-old expressed her appreciation for her fans and all of their help, revealing that their never-ending support reduced her to tears.

“#FreeBritney movement … I have no words …” she wrote. “Because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!!! I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it …

“I feel your hearts and you feel mine … that much I know is true !!!!!”

Last week, Jamie Spears was formally removed from overseeing his daughter’s $60 million estate – a major milestone in the 13-year-long legal battle. The decision comes as Britney’s newly appointed lawyer, Matthew S Rosengart, fulfilled his promise to take a more aggressive approach to end the arrangement.

#FreeBritney fans celebrated outside the courts upon hearing the singer’s father had been removed from the role.

Britney has not yet been completely freed from her conservatorship, but a hearing to discuss its termination is due to take place in November.
