Donald Trump has tweeted about Meryl Streep

The President-Elect has tweeted this in response to Meryl’s speech

This is so concerning it gives me a knot in my tummy.

Donald Trump is about to become the President of the most influential country in the world. He’s neither a fit leader nor an experienced politician and his behaviour towards women has indicated that he’s not even a nice guy.

Meryl Streep called him out last night at the Golden Globes and said that his treatment of a disabled reporter was shocking. Streep rightly articulated that Trump’s hate and misogyny paves the way for hatred and conflict.

The speech has been widely shared and praised. It’s everywhere this morning.

Now Trump has officially responded on Twitter and attempted to discredit Streep by saying:

“Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn’t know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes.”

The President-Elect is on Twitter currently tweeting about the event.

He defended himself in a separate tweet saying:

“For the 100th time, I never “mocked” a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him……. “groveling” when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!”
