Now THIS is controversial.

There are many things to plan when you have your wedding looming –  the wedding dress, the photographer the guestsbut perhaps one of the first things couples sort out when they become engaged is the small matter of the groomsmen and bridesmaids.

Being a bridesmaid is undoubtedly a big task with a lot of organisation skills involved, but usually by the time of the wedding, the work pays off and you realise it was all worth it.

One woman who is apparently sick of being a bridesmaid is Jennifer Lawrence.

The 26-year-old actress has spoken to Vanity Fair about her strong feelings for bridesmaidsdom,  and rather than positive they’re actually negative.

The actress said it was the time of her life where everyone was settling down and the weddings are coming thick and fast.

“All of my friends are getting married and having babies…

“Weddings rock, but I will never be a bridesmaid again.”

She said that after being a bridesmaid four times, she’s a little tired of the process that is being one of the right-hand women to the bride.

“It’s horrendous. If anyone asks me again, I’m going to say, ‘No. That part of my life is over. I appreciate the ask.'”
She also mentioned that should she ever get married, she’d pass on the ritual of hiring bridesmaids as she thought it was ‘cruel’ to rank her friends in importance.
“If I do ever get married, I don’t think I will have bridesmaids. How can I rank my friends?”
I’ve certainly never thought of bridesmaids like that before. Do you agree with her?
