Princess Eugenie’s third wedding dress is a total break from royal tradition

Princess Eugenie’s third wedding dress has been revealed – and it’s a total break in royal tradition.

The 28-year-old tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank last week – and looked absolutely stunning in her Peter Pilotto gown.

Later on, photos released by photographer Alex Bramble included a look at Eugenie’s second wedding gown – a champagne coloured Zac Posen – that she wore for her evening reception.

And the newlywed appeared to go in a totally different direction when it came to her third wedding gown.

According to Harper’s BazaarEugenie wore a bespoke white mini dress by Sam Dougal, the creative director/co-founder at Gainsbourg, for her festival-themed celebrations the day after she said ‘I do’.

She paired it with a silk pink biker jacket (again, by the same designer), which had ‘Mrs Brooksbank’ embroidered on the back.

Dougal explained to the publication that they had wanted the princess’ third outfit to reflect more of the “fun and informality” the festival theme had.

He said:

“The look is an exciting and unusual one for a royal wedding, and had to go with the feel of the day.

“The three of us worked on possible ideas and directions and decided to go with a young and super fun aesthetic. Much like Eugenie, the look is totally unique, and full of fun. It’s a simple party dress with a modern jacket.

“The jacket keeps it young and modern and doesn’t take itself too seriously.

“And to imagine a royal bride in a biker jacket celebrating her wedding at Windsor Castle – it’s fun and unexpected.”
