Supervet’s Noel Fitzpatrick has revealed the devastating news that his dog Keira has passed away.
Known for working miracles on animals with the most severe conditions, the Irish veterinary surgeon stars in the Channel 4 series.
An animal lover himself, Noel had to say a very emotional goodbye to his own dog Keira, revealing his loss on Twitter.
Sharing a picture of the adorable puppy, Noel wrote: “It is with profound sadness I share the news that Keira, my beloved companion of nearly 14 years has passed away.
“My heart is truly broken, she was my best friend in the whole wide world.
“My friend Amy and her son Kyle are broken-hearted too since they have shared their guardianship with me all this time.”
The 53 year old also noted that how Keira nearly passed away last year but they were able to give her another chance at life.
He went on to thank his followers for their kindness during the sad time, saying: “I know that she touched many lives with her light.
It is with profound sadness I share the news that Keira, my beloved companion of nearly 14 years, has passed away. She inspired everything I do for animals and her legacy will be eternal.

“With great pain comes great pain, but her love will be inside me forever.
“She inspired everything I do for animals and her legacy will be eternal.”
Famous friends rushed to his side to share their compassion, with The Thick of It star Rebecca Front commenting: “Oh Noel. I’m so, so sorry. But what a happy life you gave her.”
And Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor added: “So sorry. Your love for her radiated off the screen. Xx”
