No one is safe in Carrickstown.

Not the cast, not the crew, not that iconic Spar that you can catch a glimpse of if you look behind you at just the right moment as you speed down the N11 on the 145.

No one.

And they certainly aren’t about to get any safer if Fair City‘s new season launch has anything to say about it.

During the week, RTE revealed that the soap was heading for new dramatic heights with the return of a familiar face who is going to address all the lies Kerri-Ann has been telling.

But who could it possibly be?

According to the national broadcaster:

“Ireland’s most watched soap continues with Kerri-Ann caught off guard as her lies are exposed, and a familiar face returns with the intention of seeking revenge.”

Right so, that pretty much has to refer to Ciaran then because honestly, who else could it be that would even make sense?

The kidnapping villain was last seen when he was jumping into a body of water after being shot, so there’s nothing to say that he actually died and couldn’t return at any moment.

Well, maybe not at any moment seeing as the actor who plays him, Johnny Ward, is starring in Coppers: The Musical at the moment, but whatever, maybe in the near future.

RTE also said that: “This season, Fair City gets a HD makeover” and while we don’t exactly know what that means, we are pretty excited for it.

Stay tuned.
