A dangerous drag scene due to be filmed for Fast And Furious 7 has been scrapped following actor Paul Walker’s death.

According to TMZ, the “critical” scene was to feature “a souped-up yellow Chevelle” racing another car and “dramatically popping a wheelie, as bystanders stand right by the track and cheer” and had been prepped for filming just 45 minutes from where the tragic accident that claimed Walker’s life took place.

However, while the official line is that insurance could not be organised for the stunt, the site claims that producers were instead being “extremely cautious” as another crash could jeopardize the entire franchise.

Filming on the latest installation of the popular series has now been completed and the film will be released in April 2015.
