A petition to remake Game of Thrones season eight has over one million signatures and counting.

The petition, created by a guy named Dylan, has kindly asked HBO to remake the show’s final season “with competent writers” to give fans an ending that “makes sense.”

On the Change.org petition, he wrote:

“David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.

“This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!”

Dylan went on to say that throughout season eight, he has felt “disappointed and angry” by how the writers have handled the script.

He said that he started the petition after episode four, ‘The Last of the Starks,’ and that even though he absolutely does not expect HBO to remake the season, he believes Benioff and Weiss have done fans “a great disservice.”

“I’ve read all the books and eagerly await the next two,” he said. “I love this story, and I, like most of you, was crushed to see how the last season (and season seven, let’s be real) has been handled.”

“They seemingly became tired of the series and rushed to the end, thereby doing the show and its fans a great disservice.

“I feel for the actors and actresses too. I am sure some of them are happy with their arcs or perhaps are just happy to be done with the series so they can move on (…) They put their souls into these characters, and they could be every bit as disappointed as we are.”

However, it appears that Dylan may have missed the mark a tad there, as not all of the show’s actors are of the same opinion.

Isaac Hempstead Wright, who has played Bran in GoT since season one, called the petition “absurd.”

He told The Hollywood Reporter:

“I can’t even fathom it,” he said. “It’s just ridiculous.”

“It’s ridiculous that people think they can just demand a different ending because they don’t like it.

“I have stupidly taken it quite personally, which obviously I shouldn’t. In my opinion, it’s a great ending.”

Game of Thrones‘ final episode airs tonight in the States and tomorrow in the UK and Ireland.
