Keeley Ryan

Netflix’s newest psychological thriller, Secret Obsession, has left viewers “legitimately terrified” and “stressed” since it debuted earlier this week.

The movie stars Brenda Song as Jennifer, a newlywed who gets brutally attacked at a dark rest stop.

And when she wakes up in the hospital, unsure of what happened or how she got there, he husband, Russell (played by Mike Vogel), tells her that she was injured in an accident which left her with some memory loss.

She has no memory of her life, including who her husband is, so she decides to take him at his word – and he’s just thankful she’s alive, and is eager to get her home.

Her husband, Russell (Mike Vogel), is just thankful she’s alive and eager to get her home.

As he reintroduces her to their secluded mountain estate, Detective Page (Dennis Haysbert) pursues Jennifer’s assailant — his own daughter went missing and was never found.

He begins to dig into the case, finding out that that things may not be quite what they seem to be with Russell – and that Jennifer may be in a lot more danger than anyone thinks.

In the days since the film debuted on Netflix, viewers have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the film.

Namely, that it’s left them “legitimately terrified” and unable to sleep.
