Carol isn’t holding back anyway.
Soaps are often criticised for over the top, dramatic storylines and Carol Vorderman has some very harsh words for Coronation Street’s recent direction.
Taking to Twitter last night, the TV presenter said that she was asking Santa to bring back “Corrie Comedy” and her followers were very much in agreement.
From her official account, the 56-year-old, who hosted Countdown for 26 years, tweeted:
“PUR-LEAZE Father Christmas make Corrie funny again….the last time I had a laugh watching it was in about September 2016.. even wonderful Mary is now tragic.
#BringBackCorrieComedy “
I’ve put this on my list to Santa this year..

Carol made her feelings loud and clear, saying that the last time she had a laugh watching Coronation Street was in September 2016.
Many of her 385,000 followers agreed with her too with a number of them saying that it’s just not as good as classic Corrie and the characters just aren’t the same.
One person mentioned that the ‘Phelan story is ridiculous’ while another said that it’s now much too “dark and violent” and in this process, it’s lost the humour it was once praised for.
Pat Phelan has wreaked havoc in Weatherfield since his arrival, at the centre of a number of hard-hitting storylines including murder, blackmail and framing other people for his crimes.
I agree, Phelan story is now ridiculous and the humour has been lost. I’ve given up watching regularly ?

Agreed…..just watching the bit where Anna (bless her) who has just nearly murdered Eileen, Rosie not said that Phelan went into the office to plant evidence, Anna and Fay(e) lying in a car surrounded by police and Anna says to her “Faye have I ever let you down?”…er….?????

What do you think? Has Corrie changed or are you still a hardcore fan?
