Riverdale fans are really not happy with the ending of the last episode

Keeley Ryan

Remember the end of season three of Riverdale?

In case you need a refresher of what went down, it all ended with the Fab Four sharing a milkshake toast at Pop’s, promising that their senior year wouldn’t involve them having to solve any murders.

A totally fair wish for their last year of high school – although it’s fairly grim that they’d even have to make that promise.

But then the episode flashed forwarded to their senior year spring break, with a blood-soaked Archie, Betty and Veronica throwing their clothes into a big bonfire.

They promise that they’re never going to speak of “this” again, before Archie throws Jughead’s beanie into the blaze.

The scene (pretty understandably) left fans concerned about Jughead’s fate – especially since he was nowhere to be found.

Warning: Spoilers for Riverdale’s latest episode are just below this photo.

And after a few is-he-or-isn’t-he moments over the first few episodes of season four, Jughead’s fate is looking pretty bleak.

One of the recent episodes saw Betty, Archie and Veronica all arrested for the murder of Jughead Jones. And the final moments of this week’s episode dealt another blow to anyone who may think Jughead is still alive.

The final moments of the episode show Archie, Betty and Veronica in a police line up. Two students, who appear to be from Stonewall Prep based off their uniforms, are on the side of the glass.

“Those are the kids we saw kill Jughead,” they tell the police. Sooo….it doesn’t seem to be looking to good for any of the Fab Four at the moment.
