Ryan Gosling has broken his silence on why he was laughing during that Oscars blunder

Last month's Oscars were by far the most controversial in years. Especially because of a huge blunder which saw La La Land collecting the award for Best Picture, which was meant for Moonlight. Awkward, we know. The mistake dominated the headlines the next day. One of the main people on stage at the time, Ryan Gosling, particularly stood out because he was seen sniggering when the real winners came to light. Now, almost a month later he's broken his silence about why he was laughing. According to Metro, he was speaking at the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas when he said:

"What really was happening as I was watching, it was surreal anyway, I was watching people start to have this panicked reaction in the crowd and guys were coming on with headsets and I felt like someone had been hurt. I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst-case scenario playing out in my head. And then I just heard Moonlight won and I was so relieved that I started laughing."
