The winner of Celebrity Big Brother has been revealed

Keeley Ryan

The winner was announced tonight.

A month after it first kicked off, Courtney Act has been crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother.

Five contestants were left vying for the Celebrity Big Brother crown after the triple – and last – eviction of the series took place on Tuesday night, when Amanda Barrie, Ashley James and Malika Haqq left the house.

That left Jess Impiazzi, Wayne Sleep, Ann Widdecombe, Shane Lynch and Courtney Act in the running for the top spots.

Wayne was the first housemate of the night to be evicted, followed by Jess Impiazzi.

Shane Lynch was the third housemate to leave the Celebrity Big Brother house, leaving Courtney Act and Ann Widdecombe.

Courtney was ultimately crowned the winner – and viewers were delighted.

Following her eviction, Ann said she was “thoroughly bemused” at being the runner up of Celebrity Big Brother.

The former MP admitted that she knew Courtney would end up being crowned the winner of the series due to the audience’s chanting and cheers.

Fans of the long-running Channel 5 programme were quick to take to social media to voice their opinions on the outcome of this season.

The reality TV show kicked off on January 2 with an all-female line-up, marking 100 years since women won the right to vote.

Less than a week later, eight male housemates went into the Celebrity Big Brother house.
