Zara defends Adam’s ’emotionally abusive’ behaviour in the Love Island villa

Right.

Love Island's Zara has defended Adam's behaviour towards Rosie in the villa. The 22-year-old was seen smirking when Rosie told him how hurt she felt to be dumped and was later accused of gaslighting and emotional manipulation.  Zara said that she found it "unfair" that Adam had been singled out. She told The Sun that Adam went into the show with an "agenda" and it was a "shame" that people thought he was being abusive.

"His conversation with Rosie was probably 40 minutes long but on-screen it was two or three minutes.

“That situation potentially wasn’t handled as best as it could have been but the whole conversation wasn’t shown and a lot more was said. The edit took Rosie’s side, when potentially it shouldn’t have.”

Hmm. Despite all of this, Zara said that she wanted to wait for Adam to continue where things left off because she's mad about him or whatever. The government advisor also said that she had a lot of feelings for Adam and that that made it extremely difficult not to ride him when they were in bed together. But, she said she didn't take things any further in the villa purely because of her job and the reputation she needs to uphold. She explained:

“It was tough when I was in bed with a man I really liked and cared about. But I was nervous about my job if I had sex on screen. There is a strict code of conduct you have to follow, so I was very conscious about everything I said and did.

“My job holds a bit of clout and I’ve done some pretty amazing things, so it’s not something I wanted to jeopardise.”

That's fair enough, like. Zara was coupled up with Adam for a grand total of about 11 hours but during that time she decided that they had something special and that she really liked him. During his time in the villa, Adam had dumped Kendall for Rosie, dumped Rosie for Zara, and proceeded to crack on with Darylle once Zara was out of the picture. He's a nice lad, really. Zara and Adam were reunited this weekend. A photo showed them sitting awkwardly at a table, not really looking at each other so, you know, things are clearly going well.
