An Easter egg decorating party got out of hand after a 27-year-old man pelted his girlfriend with hard-boiled eggs before attempting to stab police officers with a sword.
Pittsburgh man, Aaron Goempel, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault that stemmed from a disturbance in an apartment shortly after midnight on Sunday.
When authorities responded to calls of a fight inside a building in Wareman Avenue, they discovered a woman with a swollen right eye.
The woman explained that Goempel had become enraged after she confronted him of cheating.
He began to throw hard-boiled eggs at her in fury and then proceeded to barricade himself in a bedroom.
After police broke down Goempel’s make-shift barricade he reached for a row of knives and swords before police held him under control.
According to The Huffington Post police said that Goempel yelled racist obscenities at one of the officers and kicked another member in the groin.
