A weekend brunch menu is coming to Starbucks

EEEEEEK.

This is exciting.

Saturday coffee is possibly the best coffee of the week and it looks like you might soon be able to order brunch alongside your tall mocha frappuccino.

The brunch menu, currently under on trial at several American Starbucks branches, includes waffles, quiche and French toast and it launched on August 17th.

Announced on Starbucks Melody, an official source of Starbucks-related news, brunch is now available in 78, yes that’s SEVENTY-EIGHT, locations in Portland and Seattle.

Brunch is standard weekend fare and in keeping with this, the Starbucks brunch menu is currently only available on Saturdays and Sundays, from 8am to 2pm.

An email from a Starbucks representative reads:

“As a company, we often test innovative products, programs, and ideas to gather feedback from our customers and partners”.

This basically means that at the moment, the concept of brunch is still very new and there’s no confirmation yet on whether brunch will be rolled out to further chains.

However, with all new Starbucks ideas, they’re introduced to the US first before going further afield so if brunch goes well in  America, it might arrive in Ireland before long.

Here’s a sneak peek of what brunch at Starbucks involves, just LOOK at those waffles.

Hello “Belgium Waffles with Blueberries, Bacon & Swiss Quiche, and a Clover brewed coffee”.
