Tried and tested: This is the best reusable coffee cup if you’re always on the go

Olivia Hayes

It’s actually crazy how much waste is filled up by coffee cups.

If you’re one of those people who just has to grab a coffee before you head into work (guilty), then you’ll know how many cups you use throughout a week. Recycling List Ireland (July 2018) reported that 22,000 coffee cups are disposed of in Ireland every hour, which works out at 528,000 every day, or 200 million every year… so it’s no wonder that more and more people are buying reusable cups.

Some coffee shops even offer discounts for anyone who comes in with their own cup.

However, cups can be bulky and awkward, and not the best thing to be popping into your handbag everyday.

My first whirl in the reusable cup game was with a Starbucks reusable one. It was big and I was delighted to get a small fraction off my morning latte.

However after a while, it got a bit battered, and I always found it such a nuisance to carry in my handbag (I usually have my laptop, makeup and purse in my bag so adding in yet another bulky item was not ideal).

Then the Stojo cups came into my life. I’ve been using it for around two weeks now and I can safely say it’s changed the same.

The leak-proof reusable cup collapses so it takes up no space at all in your bag, and it’s so small you can even pop it in your pocket.

It’s also made from recyclable materials such as food grade silicone and totally excludes phthalates, glues and BPA.

Honestly, I can bring this anywhere I go and it’s so much better than any other reusable cups that I’ve used before. It also keeps your coffee hotter than any other cup and that’s a big thumbs up for me.
