Can we take a moment to appreciate Lidl’s salted caramel Christmas profiteroles?

Olivia Hayes

One thing we love most about Christmas is the food.

While actual Christmas dinner is at the top of our lists, you can’t deny that many supermarkets go above and beyond with their Christmas offerings.

The puddings. The cakes. The cheese boards. The cocktails. The starters. The desserts.

Desserts – and more specifically, Christmas desserts – are our favourite things. They’re indulgent and decadent and everything we could want in something sweet.

However, when we saw that Lidl is offering salted caramel Christmas profiteroles, we added them to our shopping basket straight away.

Because, normal profiteroles are good, but salted caramel profiteroles? Yes, please.

With a salted caramel filling and dark chocolate topping you really can’t go wrong. But, the best thing about them? They’re a total steal coming in at €1.29.

One Euro and twenty nine cents.

They come as part of the deluxe range and it’s safe to say we’re going to be stocking up from now until Christmas.

There’s loads on offer at the moment in terms of sweet treats; banoffee pie, Christmas cookie tubes and premium chocolate Turkish delights are all available if profiteroles aren’t your thing.
