Drinking this fruit juice before a night out apparently stops a hangover

It's worth a try.

It’s worth a try.

With Christmas nights out in full swing there will be a lot of sore heads between now and the end of the month. Everyone has their own personal hangover cure, like drinking Berocca or eating some greasy food the next day, but inevitably if you’ve had a few too many you just need to wait until it passes.

However, that could all be about to change after research has suggested a new type of drink which could prevent a hang over.

A research team at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CISRO) are claiming that pear juice is the solution.

Not just any pear juice, though. According to The Sun, it must be Asian pear juice and it must be drank at least one hour before you have your first alcoholic beverage.

The reseachers got people to drink some Asian pear juice before a night out drinking and they found that those who did had less of a hangover than those who didn’t.

The juice has anti-inflammatory effects which could help reduce the symptoms of a hangover, but the lead reseacher Manny Noakes also reckons it could be the enzymes in the fruit that stops the bidy from absorbing all of the alcohol.

According to Medical Daily she said, “Believe it or not, there are effects that pears may have on the amount of blood alcohol after an alcoholic drink.”
