What you had for breakfast could affect your decision-making in a weird way

The research was the first of its kind.

Trying to choose whether to have eggs or cereal right now?

We know that skipping breakfast can throw your whole day, but what you choose to eat could also have a big effect.

A new study suggests that the amount of protein and carbohydrates you have for breakfast impact how you make decisions throughout the day, according to Web MD.

In a study at University of Luebek in Germany, participants who had eaten a high-carb breakfast were more likely to reject an unfair financial offer later in the day.

Those who’d eaten a lower-carb, higher-protein breakfast, were on the other hand more likely to take the money rather than have nothing.

The researchers behind the study could not make any great conclusions about the results, given its small sample size, and were unsure as to why these nutrients might affect judgement.
