Expecting guests? Here are two brand new Christmas cocktail recipes to make

We like to see the Christmas holidays as one long cocktail hour.

And as good as the traditional drinks are, we also like to try something new when we have visitors to impress. Step forward, the new Christmas cocktails from The Dyflin Bar. Located in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in the heart of Dublin city, the bar’s drinks wizards have come up with two new festive-themed tipples that are guaranteed to make your Christmas merry and bright.

Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh

Ingredients:

40ml of Roe & Co. Blended Irish Whiskey

10ml of mead (available from stores and off-licences)

30ml of coconut water

5ml of honey

1 dash of salt

Honeycomb, to garnish

Method:

Pour 40ml whiskey into a mixing glass. Add the coconut water. Add the mead, honey and a dash of salt. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a glass, a coupe is preferable. Add the honeycomb to finish.

 

The Winter Nightcap

Ingredients:

60ml of Bulleit Rye Bourbon

10ml of sugar syrup

2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

2 dash of orange bitters

Method:

Pour 60ml of bourbon into a mixing glass. Add 10ml of sugar syrup. Add the Angostura Bitters and orange bitters. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a drinking glass, a rock tumbler is preferable. This drink is best served with dark chocolate.
