Were you out last night? Party a little too hard? Does the word prosecco make you currently feel violently ill?… Well then fear not.

We have the ultimate hangover smoothie that will get you feeling back on track and better than any greasy pizza (well… better for you).

These ingredients have been recommended by Jessica Crandall, RDN, Denver Wellness & Nutrition Director for the Daily Burn and TBH we are willing to give anything a shot at this stage.

According to Jessica, with the right choice of nutrients blended together you can create the perfect boost to get you back up on your feet.

So what do you need to include in your smoothie?

Well Jessica believes coconut water is a great call as it is packed with a mega dose of electrolytes that are essential for helping your body rehydrate.

Another thing you need to add is blueberries. Naturally defensive, antioxidant-rich berries will give you a pep in your step and lastly, bananas. Bananas are a slow-releasing energy helping you to keep going and not crash and burn at 4pm and with 422 milligrams of potassium in each medium banana, it’ll work with the coconut water to rehydrate you.

Ingredients

1 cup blueberries, frozen
1/2 small banana
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt, plain
1/2 cup coconut water

Preparation

  1. Place all ingredients in a high-power blender and mix until smooth.
