A five-tier wedding cake made from cheese exists and it is beautiful

Do you have to be getting married to buy this or...?

Anna O'Rourke

Picture the scene; it’s your wedding day and you’re on cloud nine, surrounded by the people you love most in the world.

You’ve said “I do”, you’re at your reception with a glass of bubbles in your hand and you’re about to cut the cake.

Yourself and your new husband or wife grip the knife together and sink it into a towering construction before you.

Cameras flash as it glides smoothly through and the most delicious scent fills the air.

You look down and it’s cheese. The whole cake is made of cheese.

It sounds like a dream – but in fact this could be a reality.

Cheese wedding cakes are now a thing and Tesco in the UK is selling a stunning one.

It’s five tiers of what sounds like pure ecstasy – a base of cheddar, covered by crumbly Red Leicester and then blue Stilton, a Wensleydale with dried cranberries and blueberries and finally a top later of creamy brie.

As well as probably being very delicious, this bad boy is fairly affordable.

The whole thing costs £30, or just over €35 – significantly less than you’d pay for an ordinary wedding cake.

Sadly, our research (we had a look on the Tesco website) found that this glorious creation is only available to buy in the UK for now.
