There’s a GIN garden at this year’s Bloom festival so pass the tonic

G’wan.

Everybody likes gin.

Everybody.

Except those of us who react badly to the tears-inducing spirit and decide to steer clear of it on those long, lonely nights out where all of your mates are happily smashed but the buzz you’re on is one dripping in deep upset.

Apart from that though, pretty popular drink.

In fact, gin is so popular that it’s even going to have its own garden at this year’s Bloom festival – because why not?

The Blackwater Gin garden opened up today as part of Bord Bia’s Bloom in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.

The garden will be open from 9am to 6pm every day from now until Monday, June 3, allowing attendees to enjoy some delicious drinks while having a relaxing and reflective time in the garden.

The gin garden is designed by Peter Cowell and his business partner Monty Richardson, and is built predominantly from reclaimed, recycled and upcycled materials.

It features strong shapes, textures and contrasting materials that reflect the Blackwater distillery’s location in Waterford.

There’s also a stunning water feature symbolising the Blackwater river or, you know, a flowing body of gin.

Whichever you prefer.
