Keeley Ryan

Hang Dai has become the latest restaurant to launch a new take-out menu – and it sounds absolutely delicious.

Full of Hang Dai favourites, as well as some new additions inspired by Chinese take out classics to enjoy at home, the menu is available to order by phone for zero-contact collection or for delivery via Deliveroo from Tuesday to Sunday 5-10pm.

“We thank all of our loyal customers for their continued support during this strange time and look forward to getting the restaurant back to normal when it’s safe to do so,” Karl Whelan and Will Dempsey, the owners of Hang Dai Chinese said.

“We’ve spent the past few weeks refining the best of our restaurant menu for take out – with a focus on everyone’s favourite dishes from the menu, along with some new additions. They’re the dishes that will travel to your home best and it’s the comfort food that we need right now.”

As for what’s on the menu?

Hang Dai Chinese favourites like Sesame Prawn Sourdough Toast with Yuzu Mayo and MaPo Tofu with Minced Pork, sit alongside new Hang Dai takes on classic take out dishes like Crispy Sticky Sweet and Sour Pork with Roasted Pineapple and Kentucky Fried Kung Pao Chicken with peanut condiment and three kinds of chilli.

Vegetarian options include Asparagus, Beansprout and Glass Noodle Spring Rolls with Kimchi Mayo; Portobello Mushroom, Pounded Pine Nuts and Wild Garlic; and, Dry Fried Green Beans with Salted Radish & Chilli.

A special set family meal (€50) is available too, which includes a choice of starters and mains for two adults (with rice), two kids’ meals & IceBergers for the family.

All food preparation and deliveries are carried out with the strictest hygiene and safety standards and are in keeping with the government’s latest guidelines. When ordering by phone, you will be given an allocated collection time to allow for zero-contact collection.

And the restaurant has a whole lot more planned, too.

Their social media channels will feature weekly specials, cocktails-to-go and Hang Dai Sounds, a new live stream DJ series where you can enjoy Hang Dai’s weekend vibes from the comfort of your couch.

Sounds good to us!
