Ireland’s best burger has been revealed and you will definitely be surprised

Olivia Hayes

We love a good burger.

Nothing quite beats a burger when you want a good fill and with all sorts of combinations, we are totally spoiled for choice.

Over the past few years in Ireland, burger restaurants have been popping up all over the country and many discussions have been had in the office or on a night out about what place is the best.

Well, no more discussions need to be had because the best burger in Ireland in 2019 has been revealed.

While you might think it could be the likes of Bunsen or Five Guys, it’s not one of the big chains.

Instead, it’s *drum roll, please* The Hatch food truck in Co. Down.

Votes were counted during BurgerFest 2019 and saw The Hatch food truck come out on top. The truck, which is owned by chef Colin Johnstone and Bronagh Johnstone, even made specialised burgers for the event, so it’s easy to see why they won.

The specialised burgers were The Big Black Truffle Mac & Cheese Burger, The Scampi Fries Fish Burger and The Indian Burger.

We think a trip up to The Hatch food truck is definitely on the cards.
