It’s official! This is when Pumpkin Spiced Lattes are back in Irish Starbucks stores

Olivia Hayes

We all love a Pumpkin Spiced Latte.

It officially means it’s autumn (kinda), and yes we will be basic bitches going around in our woolly jumpers, with our Starbucks cup in hand. Don’t judge us – you do it too.

And now we have the official date that the PSLs will be back in Irish stores.

Many fans got a little bit too excited this morning since they were officially released in the UK today – however, we now have the date that they will land back onto our green shore – September 6.

We can’t wait either.

And just because we’re that obsessed with them, we’ve found out a few cute facts:

  • The first PSL was created in 2003 by Peter Dukes who was inspired by a taste of pumpkin pie followed by a sip of espresso.
  • Customers express their #PSL excitement with an average of 3,000 tweets per day during the season.
  • PSL joined Twitter as @TheRealPSL in 2014. It now has almost 109,000 followers and has even been proposed to by fans.
  • PSL was the original beverage code for Pumpkin Spice Latte written by baristas on cups, and soon became the drink’s nickname.
