This is going to be huge.

Another J.D. Wetherspoon’s looks set to open in Ireland – and before the end of the year.

The gastropub is said to be taking over two buildings located on Lower Abbey Street in Dublin for their newest location.

The Irish Times report that the 150-year-old former Trustee Savings Bank building, located at 12B, and the former 1839 Baptist Chapel, located at 12C.

The two buildings will be connected by a glazed link at the ground level, as well as the first floor level.

The publication notes that the Circuity Licensing Court granted a declaratory order, which will guarantee Wetherspoon’s a full drinks license and restaurant – provided the development is finished according to their planning permission.

The Wetherspoon’s location, which is across the street from the Abbey Theatre, is expected to be completed by Christmastime.

It will have an outdoor beer garden as well as a roof terrace with a retractable roof.

Wetherspoon’s currently have five locations in Dublin and Cork, including the Linen Weaver, Three Tun Tavern, and The Forty Foot in Dun Lagohaire.

Another location is said to be expected to open on Dublin’s Camden Street in 2019.

Witherspoon’s also have a number of locations in Northern Ireland.
