Marmite peanut butter is a thing and we’re not sure how to feel

Keeley Ryan

Yes. Or no.

Who can say for sure?

Marmite Peanut Butter is actually a thing and no, we’re not sure how to feel either.

The Evening Standard reported earlier this year that the spread, which combines Marmite with crunchy peanut butter, was developed due to “overwhelming demand”.

It was the first permanent product launch for Marmite since the brand was established in 1902 and – despite the fact that a whole load of people absolutely won’t be into it – it’s been available in the UK for a while now.

At the time, a spokesperson for the company said:

“The British public asked, and we listened. We’re delighted to bring the nation exactly what they’ve been craving with the creation of Marmite Peanut Butter.

It’s the most exciting product launch since the conception of the brand in 1902 and we’re confident that the nation is going to love it.”

There’s been no word as of yet as to when (or if) the divisive spread is going to hit Irish shelves.

But if you’re that bothered about it, you can definitely head up North to get yourself a tub.

No problem.
