McDonald’s burger boxes are getting a designer makeover

How glam are these?

Denise Curtin

McDonald’s have teamed up with Julien MacDonald to create a line of super swanky burger boxes.

Say so long to the days of eating a Big Mac out of a standard, boring cardboard box.

Designer to the stars, Julien MacDonald has been commissioned to bring a glamorous aesthetic to the brand. Taking inspiration from his clothing and handbag line, we can only imagine these burgers to be bling-tastic.

Julien will unveil his new creation, which McDonald’s are calling ‘sumptuous’ at a special Signature Collection premier at McDonald’s flagship restaurant in Leicester Square, London.

Speaking on the latest collaboration for the company, Emily Somers, Vice President of Marketing at McDonald’s said: “This is our first ever UK packaging collaboration, it’s a brave and exciting move and it’s like nothing we’ve ever done before. To partner with such an iconic designer as Julien Macdonald is fantastic, and his beautifully designed star-studded box complements The Signature Collection perfectly.  Julien’s limited edition box is a great way to mark our nationwide launch of The Signature Collection.”

The burgers will be available exclusively throughout the UK with the hopes of shortly coming to Ireland.

We will wait patiently.
