McDonalds workers claim they use this trick to give you fewer chips

Very sneaky...

Could it be?

Who doesn’t love a Maccy Dees? We’d often be partial to a Chinese or a salty bag of chipper chips but there’s something about McDonald’s that always hits the spot.

That’s why we’ve been shaken to our very core at new claims that their chip portions may not be what they appear.

A Reddit user who claims to be a former McDonald’s employee (we don’t know where) told other users on the forum that workers had a trick for giving customers fewer chips with their order.

“I worked at McDonald’s and they taught me how to pinch the fry carton just right while putting the fries into them so that it looked full, but actually wasn’t,” wrote the Redditor.

“I only had one customer call me out on it. He shook the fries out into his bag and poured them back into the fry carton himself and it only filled up half way, so I had to give him more fries. I was impressed and embarrassed. It’s been 7 years and I can still see his face.”

Another user appeared to back this up, writing, “I f*cking hated that practice and basically refused to do it. Never got fired, but managed to have a few customers ask me when my shifts were the next week so they could have me filling their fries.”

In response to these claims, McDonald’s has released a statement.

“We believe these claims to be fictional, there are no ‘secret tricks’ and we have strict operational procedures in place to ensure that fry portions are not under-filled. Without a verified source we are unable to investigate this further.

“Our employees work hard to ensure our customers have the best experience possible in our restaurants, and we strongly refute any claims that suggest otherwise.”

Maybe this happened in just one restaurant but kudos to the guy who made a scene and demanded more chips – sometimes, you have stand up for what you believe in.
